What is PABX ?

The Difference Between PBX and PABX Systems.

How Does a PABX System Work?

A PABX (Private Automatic Branch Exchange) system works by connecting internal telephone extensions to external telephone lines, allowing for communication between employees within the organization and external parties. The PABX system acts as a central hub for all incoming and outgoing calls, routing them to the appropriate destination. 

When an external call is received, the PABX system answers the call and prompts the caller to enter an extension number or the name of the person they wish to speak with. This system then routes the call to the corresponding internal extension. 

When an internal call is made, the employee dials a code or the external number they wish to call, and the PABX connects the call to the public telephone network.
